- @huskergal, because we already have background checks. And nothing is done about the felons that fail them. What was the latest data? Less than 1/4 of 1 percent of felons prosecuted for attempting to buy a gun? Ooh, yeah more background checks, yeah that's the ticket.

- What's the population of those countries? England and the Netherlands combined have less than 1/4 of our total population which needs health coverage. What works well there does not necessarily translate to working well here.

- I agree. The law needs to be applied uniformly. If abortions are legal then there cannot be a such thing as fetal murder or whatever since the fetus is not a person.
